Check people in to your class

On the day of your class, scan each ticket’s QR code with your phone, or check people in by name from the class roster. A counter shows how many have arrived, and people without a ticket can be added at the door.

In this section

This is for a class you sell tickets to on your booking, where the studio has turned this on (see Sell tickets to your class). Every person who has a ticket has their own QR code.

Open the roster

  • On the day, your Home lists the class under My sessions today. Once someone holds a seat and check-in is open, Check in opens the scanner.
  • Any day: open Organizer › Listings, then your class. Under Sessions, open a date to see who is coming and check them in.

Scan tickets

On the roster, Scan tickets is offered all day on the day of the class, and from 4 hours before it starts until 4 hours after it ends. Before then, the roster says “Scanning opens on the day of the class.”

  • On a phone, press Start scanning and point the camera at a ticket’s QR code. Your browser asks for the camera the first time.
  • On a computer, scan the QR code with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, or press Use camera.
  • Each scan answers Checked in, or says why not: already checked in (with the time), a ticket marked no-show (check it in from the roster instead), a cancelled ticket, a ticket for another class or date, or someone who is not on this roster.
  • No connection? Scans are saved on the device and sync by themselves once it is back online, while the scanner is open. Don’t sign out before they have synced: unsynced scans are lost on sign-out, and after 24 hours.

Check in by name

For someone without their QR code, or with no camera handy, use Check in by name on the scanner, or the roster itself. Each person has Check in, No-show or Undo, depending on where they stand, and on a purchase of several tickets, Check in all checks them all in. The search box (Name or email) finds a person, and Not checked in shows only who hasn’t arrived.

Someone shows up without a ticket? Add walk-in puts them on the roster with a name and the seats they take. A walk-in uses up seats like a ticket, but Quorin charges them nothing and sends them nothing.

If your class balances women and men (Balance women and men, under Spots in the class editor), each seat also shows its side (Woman, Man or No side: a walk-in, or a seat taken before balancing), and the roster counts the seats per side and the waiting list, never who is waiting. The studio hosting you does not see the sides.

ExampleTwelve seats, one door

Your Saturday 10 a.m. class has 12 seats. Nine tickets are sold: one customer bought three of them for a group of friends.

  • Saturday morning, Home shows the class under My sessions today, and Check in opens the scanner.
  • You scan seven QR codes as people arrive, and the counter climbs to 7 / 9 checked in.
  • One ticket is scanned twice: the second scan says it is already checked in, and at what time.
  • An eighth person forgot their phone: you find them by name in the roster’s search and press Check in. 8 / 9.
  • A friend of theirs turns up with no ticket: Add walk-in, 1 seat. The class now has 10 of its 12 seats taken, and the walk-in is not charged.
  • Nobody else comes: you mark the ninth ticket No-show, and if they turn up late, Check in is still there.
