Your held slot

When your series ends, the studio keeps its weekly time for you for a set number of days, so you can renew and keep your usual spot before another renter can book it.

In this section

A held slot keeps the time for you; it does not book it. After your last session there are no new bookings, no invoice and no charge. The hold does one thing: no other renter can book that weekday and that time while it lasts.

On the studio’s calendar, the held weeks show as Held for you blocks at your usual time. Your series’ sheet shows the hold under Your held slot, with the date the hold ends by itself.

  • Renew this series opens the booking form filled in with your series, so you can book the next stretch. The hold follows the new series, and those weeks become real bookings again. If the studio doesn’t take self-serve renewals, the button is greyed out: contact the studio to renew.
  • Release the slot opens your weekly time to everyone from that moment. You confirm first. Your past and upcoming sessions do not change: releasing cancels nothing and refunds nothing.
  • Do neither, and the hold ends by itself on the date your series’ sheet shows. The time is open to everyone again.

ExampleThursdays, 6–8 p.m.

You have had Thursdays 6–8 p.m. all winter. Your last session is March 26, and this studio holds a finished slot for 14 days.

  • Until April 9, no other renter can book Thursday 6–8 p.m. Your series’ sheet says the hold ends on April 9.
  • Renew on April 2 and you keep your Thursday: the new series’ sessions are booked, and the hold moves to it.
  • Release it on April 2 instead, and anyone can book that Thursday the same day. Your winter sessions stay exactly as they are.
  • Do nothing, and the slot opens after April 9: Thursday, April 16 is the first one anyone can book.

A hold costs nothing and never charges your card. Renewing is what books your next sessions, like any booking you make.
