What your renters receive
Your renters receive booking and payment notices by text, email or both, unless you choose not to notify them. Each renter chooses their channels; STOP blocks new notification texts to that number across Quorin.

Which messages, and when
- A confirmation when a booking is made, by the renter or by you. A booking you make as Tentative sends nothing until you confirm it.
- A change notice when a booking is changed, and a cancellation notice when it is cancelled, saying what happened to any money paid.
- Payment messages about their bookings: receipts, a charge to their saved card, a charge that failed, and the payment links you send.
- A reminder before a booking, when the booking has one. See Reminders you send.
Messages are in the renter’s language when your studio offers it; see Your studio’s languages.
Text or email
You don’t choose the channel: each renter does, for your studio, in their account under Notification preferences, with SMS, Email or SMS & email. Until they choose, they get both. A channel they haven’t verified can’t be chosen. A reminder you set goes on the channel you pick for it, never on one the renter turned off; see Reminders you send.
- Texts about a booking go to the phone number on the booking; texts about a daily or weekly bill go to the phone number on the renter’s profile.
- Emails go only to an email address the renter verified with their Quorin account. A renter you created at the desk, with no account, gets texts only.
- A payment link is the exception: when you send one, you can also choose Text another number or Email another address.
STOP
Replying STOP blocks new notification texts to that number across all studios on Quorin, including payment messages, reminders and invitations. This also applies when a studio adds the number later or enters it manually. Turning SMS on in an account cannot override STOP. The person can request texts again by replying START; their studio preferences still apply. Messages already queued may still arrive.
Codes you explicitly request to sign in or verify your phone are handled separately. Your mobile carrier or messaging provider may still block them.
STOP does not change email preferences. If the payment-link panel says texts are blocked, choose email when available; Quorin does not switch channels automatically. Email can also be blocked after a bounce or spam complaint.
Silencing one action
When you create, edit or cancel a booking, or record a payment, you get a Notify the renter box, checked by default. Unchecked, nothing about that action goes out to the renter — receipts included — and the booking’s Activity shows Renter not notified. Where something still goes out, the line under the box says so: settling a billing period with Settle manually, for one, still sends that payment’s receipt. The booking and its payments still show in the renter’s account. Charges and reminders that come later on their own schedule are not affected, and a booking the AI concierge makes always notifies the renter. On a class, Refund and cancel has a Notify the buyer box. Unchecked, the buyer gets no email about that cancellation, and the student’s Purchase history and the session’s Cancelled list show Buyer not notified.
Your promotional line
In Settings › Notifications, an admin can write a Promotional line: one sentence added to booking confirmations, booking reminders, or both. It is never added to a message about money. Renters can turn it off in their account (Studio offers by SMS, Studio offers by email), and a STOP removes it from texts too. Because it goes out by text, it must use characters a text message can carry.
ExampleA Saturday booking made at the desk
Sam has an account with a verified phone and email, and chose SMS for your studio. You book Sam a room for Saturday at the desk, then move it an hour later.
- The confirmation and the change notice reach Sam by text only, because Sam chose SMS for your studio.
- You move it once more with Notify the renter unchecked: Sam gets nothing about that change, and the booking’s Activity says Renter not notified.
- Sam then replies STOP to one of your texts. Quorin stops new notification texts to Sam’s number across studios, receipts and reminders included. Sam can reply START to request texts again. Meanwhile, Sam can choose Email in their account to receive your messages by email.
Related
- Reminders you sendThe Reminder row of a booking sets one message the renter receives before the booking starts, by SMS, email or both. It starts from the renter’s own defaults, and what you choose applies to that booking only.
- Your studio’s languagesYour studio is offered in one or two languages, depending on where it is located. Each renter and visitor sees your pages and gets your messages in their own language when you offer it, and in your default language when you don’t.
- Renter profilesYour studio keeps one profile per phone number: no two renter profiles share a number, so a person on file with two numbers has two profiles. Under Renters you see each renter’s bookings and contact details, set their language while they have no account, and choose how their future bookings are billed.
