Daily and weekly billing
Where period billing is available, a renter’s daily or weekly bill collects eligible unpaid bookings together. On their profile, Billing periods shows past bills and the available actions for an unpaid balance.

What goes on a bill
On the renter’s profile, Billing schedule offers per-booking, daily and weekly billing where the studio’s payment setup supports them. Period billing collects eligible ended, unpaid bookings together; a bill can include older sessions still waiting to be billed.
The scheduled run becomes due at 6 am in the studio’s time zone: the next morning for daily billing, Monday for weekly billing. That is when collection becomes eligible, not a guarantee that the card is charged at exactly 6 am.
A period bill keeps the studio details and tax identity accepted with each booking; later changes to the studio’s settings do not replace them. An applicable cancellation fee on a period-billed booking can be collected on the next bill; see booking cancellations.
An unpaid bill
- An unpaid bill is not necessarily a declined card: a missing usable card or unavailable online collection can also leave money to collect.
- Some temporary failures are retried automatically; an eligible unpaid bill gets one scheduled retry roughly 24 hours after its failure. Not every failure qualifies.
- In Billing periods, Charge now retries an unpaid bill when online collection is available. Check the amount and card in the confirmation. Replacing the renter’s saved card does not itself pay the bill.
- Settle manually records money you already collected outside Stripe, in full or in part, up to the remaining balance. A part payment leaves the rest unpaid; it does not charge the card.
- Fee waivers belong to the booking’s admin controls, not a general bill write-off button. Staff cannot waive those booking fees.
Documents and refunds
Receipts follow recorded payments, not an unpaid bill’s due date. If a booking was paid through more than one bill, its refund can have a separate leg against each bill’s payment. Issued documents keep their history; see receipts and statements.
ExampleA partial payment at the desk
A renter’s unpaid weekly bill at Studio B has a remaining balance of $150, including tax. They give you $60 in cash.
- Record $60 with Settle manually, using cash as the method.
- The remaining bill balance is $90; recording the cash does not charge another $60 to the card.

- Receipts, invoices and monthly statementsReceipts document recorded payments; refund receipts and corrections preserve what happened afterward. Find issued documents in booking Activity and bill history, and a renter’s latest completed-month statement on their profile.
- Cards on fileOnly the renter saves a card: at an online checkout, for a weekly series, or on their Account page at your studio. Their profile in Renters shows the card your studio can charge. Your team charges it from a booking or an unpaid daily or weekly bill; only the renter can replace or remove it.
- Managing bookingsCreate a booking from the calendar or with New Booking, then run it from its sheet: change it, cancel it, collect it. Before anything is charged to a saved card, you are shown the amount, the card and the timing, and you choose.
