Your studio’s languages
Your studio is offered in one or two languages, depending on where it is located. Each renter and visitor sees your pages and gets your messages in their own language when you offer it, and in your default language when you don’t.
In this section
The Languages card is in Settings › Studio profile. Only admins can open Settings.
The languages you offer
- A studio in Québec always offers French, and can also offer English.
- A studio elsewhere in Canada always offers English, and can also offer French.
- A studio outside Canada always offers English and can also offer French. It starts in English only; turn on French if you want to offer both.
The card lists your Languages offered and, where you have a choice, shows one switch: Also offer English or Also offer French. The language your studio was set up in can’t be turned off. Turning the second language off deletes nothing: the names and text you wrote in it stay saved, ready if you turn it back on.
Your Default language is the one a person gets when theirs is not offered or not known: the language required where your studio is located, or, if you don’t offer that one, the language your studio was set up in.
With two languages, the names people read — rooms, rates, booking rules, your promotional line — need a version in each. If one is missing when you save, you’re asked to add it.
Which language a person gets
- Your pages. A person signed in to Quorin sees their account language. A visitor who isn’t signed in sees the language they last chose on that device, or else the first language in their browser’s list that you offer. A link that names a language shows that page in it. A language you don’t offer becomes your default language.
- Messages to a renter with an account. Texts and emails about their bookings, reminders and billing included, are in their account language when you offer it, otherwise in your default language.
- Messages to a renter with no account (one you created at the desk). They use the Preferred language set on the renter’s profile under Renters, when you offer it, otherwise your default language.
- Your team. Admins and staff see the studio’s admin pages in their own account language, whatever your studio offers.
A person changes their own language in their account, under Language, or with the language picker in their menu. You can’t change it for them; you can only set the Preferred language of a renter who has no account, on their profile.
ExampleA Montréal studio that also offers English
Your studio is in Montréal, so it always offers French, and Also offer English is on. Your default language is French.
- A renter whose account is in English sees your booking page in English and gets their confirmations in English.
- A first-time visitor who isn’t signed in, whose browser asks only for Spanish, sees your pages in French: you don’t offer Spanish, so they get your default.
- A renter you created at the desk, with no account and Preferred language set to English, gets their texts in English.
- Turn Also offer English off (possible because your studio was set up in French), and the first renter’s pages and messages switch to French. Your English room names stay saved.

- Renter profilesYour studio keeps one profile per phone number: no two renter profiles share a number, so a person on file with two numbers has two profiles. Under Renters you see each renter’s bookings and contact details, set their language while they have no account, and choose how their future bookings are billed.
- Custom domain and brandingEvery plan can show your logo. Growth and Scale also give your booking pages your own colors and font, and Scale serves your booking pages on a domain you own.
