How the money reaches you

Stripe charges your renter’s card under your own business name and pays the money out to your bank. It never passes through Quorin.

In this section

You are the merchant. The payment account is yours, opened in your business’s name, and the line on your renter’s statement says your studio — not Quorin. That is also why the money has no stop to make in between: there is no Quorin bank account on the way to yours.

Quorin never sees the card number — it goes from your renter’s browser to Stripe and never touches our servers — and never sees your banking details, which you give to Stripe directly when you set the account up. What Quorin does see is the amount and whether the payment went through, which is what a confirmed booking and its receipt are made of.

ExampleA $120 booking, paid Tuesday

A renter books Saturday 6–9 p.m. for $120 plus tax, and the card is charged on Tuesday. Which day depends on the renter’s billing schedule.

  • Tuesday: Stripe charges the card. Quorin deducts its commission and the applicable taxes on it. Stripe’s own card processing fees are deducted separately, under your Stripe agreement; an account set up before that separate billing began combines the two in one deduction until it is moved over. The remainder joins your balance.
  • By default, every day: your available balance is transferred to your bank automatically. You never have to ask for a payout.
  • If you refund the booking in full, the renter gets the full amount back. Quorin’s fee is retained; Stripe’s own fee refund rules follow your Stripe agreement.
  • If the renter disputes the charge, Stripe debits the disputed amount from your balance. Stripe also bills its dispute fees to you, except on an account set up before separate Stripe billing began, which keeps its existing arrangement until it is moved over.

Two things follow from that. A refund is genuinely more expensive than a booking that never happened, which is what your cancellation policy is for. And until your payment setup is finished, your page can still take bookings — it just cannot take money for them.
